La Roue

the wheel

once this was home of all nowledge

this dusty little box of a house

a few feet from the railroad track

with a well in a small fenced yard

where a merry goat pranced

and children spilled milk

full of laughter

in the garden

the pansies seem to shake their heads

"no, don't go!!"

the watering girls goodbye

there is something amazing about purposefully composed cinematographic ideas, splendid vision and tender treatment of subject, while clearly pushing the medium beyond the ordinary to the extraordinary

it was 1922 though they say it was 23

many circles slowly close the scenes, lighting and layering surreal effects, incredible settings, absolute genius in black and white, one can not applaud enough tho in its entirety it is almost 4 hours long. and it is a "silent" film, but i watched it transfixed until 4:30 a.m even having been tired before it began. and when it was over i was breathtaken so much so that i lay there til morning thinking about it, and dozed off dreaming about it and woke up refreshed enough to skip coffee at 9 a.m

its a really good film

here are 12 minutes, hope you have a chance if you havent yet to see this

absolutely incredible piece of work in its entirety one day

Turner Classic Movies presented it as a scheduled film and they may rerun...

spring

it must have sprung open

the first crocus morning

as dawnbirds were woken

a magic flute wind

curled round a new bud

his panpipe calling sprouts,

immersed in beds of mud

fresh blades ascend

from clay below the glades

electron-sparked

ion-dazed

the unabashed sun heats the wetlands

and sap bleeds clear thru the tree

pushing a million tiny births

in bursts of gentle green

waiting to respond

sometimes in the workplace someone would say something out of context and it would seem more important than anything else in that moment including deadlines.

facets, we are
though opposed by nature
inside this gold-linked fence
the tension
a flipside benefit
to productivity
in the purest sense

now i know there are ways 2 sell time
with the stocks so poor
i'm going to sell mine...

not to forget we r human
while we own up to the divine
