S.B.T. 345

orchestra

with all the wind and whitecaps
on the beach
scattering plumes and dust,
a symphony tunes up
i'd like to attend, surroundering

 the drumsticks, umbrellas
and coat-tails lashing thru stripes
of sand sea and sky
fine melody dissolved n gusts of salty air
majestic crescendos blurred by clouds

on the horizon a voice harmonic
emerging 3 notes - that of a crow
with echo - caw caw caw and
a mirror call from a different treetop

curious gulls and terns swoop,
slices of spacious volume,
an arrow of geese glides overhead
sparkling as an array would be
at the hall or halfshell on the common.

will they continue to play
if the music flies away or
run to try and catch it
all 3 ways with the wind

S.B.T. 344

welcome

silhouette lank
dark and slender
as an oak tree feels
gentle feathers of
light
graceful limbs
haloed below
the waystation that pumps daily rivers

how do you say it in french
"prier de se servir"
in spanish..."ser acogedor..."
well come, well come
with ease
"...accogliere di buon grado..."
one cannot overdo
any gesture
of hospitality
